"Everyone worries about the quality of their writing"

Why should you contact Jessica to edit your work?

Jessica is completely non-judgemental

Everyone worries about the quality of their writing.

Jessica often works with people who are concerned their work is in 'a terrible state'. In fact, people often admit to her that they've taken so long to do anything with their writing simply because they were afraid of being judged.

With a great sea of authors in the world, it's understandable that people worry how they'll compare. It doesn't matter what state your writing is in, Jessica can make any text ship-shape.

Complete satisfaction guaranteed

As with most things in life, communication is key. Jessica ensures your requirements are understood before work begins and keeps regular contact to keep you updated on her progress. Every single one of her clients to date has been delighted with the work she has produced.

Jessica is a published author

If you need to see further credentials, Jessica has so far published six novels, each of which have received majority 5-star reviews on Amazon.
"Jessica has so far published six novels"

Her very first novel, The Former World, reached number one on Amazon's list for its genre when the book was made available as a free trial promotion.

Jessica has also published a book of her own short stories, plus a non-fiction book on creative writing and two non-fiction titles in the self-development space.

"It has been a pleasure since day one to work with Jessica Grace Coleman. Jess was always on time—something I personally appreciated. She was also understanding and easy to work with and I would have no hesitation in recommending her to fellow authors who require some professional assistance, whether it be help writing their novel, or proofreading their manuscript."

Jessica ran writing competitions to discover new writing talent

Before focusing on her editing work, Jessica ran a well-known and respected monthly writing competition, 'Darker Times Fiction'.

Numerous books have been published featuring the winning stories from these competitions.

"Jessica’s ability to proofread and edit a manuscript in a timely, cost-effective and professional manner is superior to most other editors I have used. Her timeliness, adherence to deadlines, communication and punctuality surpassed my expectations."
- Global Village Publications (Philippines).
"Basic editing starts from £15 per 1000 words and in-depth editing from £20 per 1000 words"

How much does Jessica charge for editing?

The two most common services Jessica provides are basic editing, which checks spelling, grammar and obvious typographical errors, and in-depth editing, which involves rewording or rewriting your text to make it clearer and improve the flow.

Basic editing starts from, I think you'll agree, a very reasonable £15 per 1000 words, and in-depth editing from £20 per 1000 words.

If required, Jessica also offers a free trial where she will edit a few hundred words of your text to make sure you're happy with the quality.

Further Client Testimonials

"I'm so grateful and very happy with Jessica’s work. She is confident, talented and honest in her editing and I enjoyed working alongside her."
- Amanda.
"I am 71 years of age and have been writing for twenty five years. I have entered hundreds of competitions with stories, poetry, and children’s stuff and wasn’t getting anywhere with my work until I approached Jessica Grace Coleman to proofread my material and now I have received certificates, been short listed in competitions and have been selected as one of the top twenty women poets of 2014.

It’s all down to Jessica – thank goodness I found her.

I am now looking for an agent to get much of my work published and to sell and hope that some of the proceeds will go to charity if I’m successful in my ambition. There is nothing out there that’s better than a great proofreader, in our busy quest of writing we often overlook silly mistakes and someone like Jessica will intercept and sort these things out."
- Mrs Josephine Smith.
" I had been writing a book for over 20 years with little success. A friend suggested to get Jessica to ghostwrite and proofread what I had written due to me getting ill from reliving the experience every time I put pen to paper. I contacted Jessica and was amazed at how quickly she got the right emotions for the book. Jessica took no time at all in writing the book. She would contact me with questions she needed clarification on and I responded. I was now able to detach myself and relay all details back to her in a detached manner

When she finished the book I sent it to friends to read and review. All my professional friends were amazed at how Jessica got the emotional feelings in the book. That was my only fear in handing the book over. I need not have worried as Jessica has a deep understanding of human emotions. The price she quoted was fair too.

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of working with Jessica. In fact she amazed me at how easy she made the whole process. I still cannot believe that my book is finally ready to publish stress free.

I would recommend Jessica to anyone who wants a ghostwriter or proofreader. I have accomplished my dream after 20 years simply by using Jessica's expertise."
